The Executive Committee shall consist of currently elected officers of the association and the immediate past president. The president of the association shall serve as chair of the executive committee. In addition, the ALAHEDO liaison to the council of presidents shall serve as an exofficio member.

The Nominating Committee shall prepare and submit to the executive committee recommended slates of candidates for elective office. The committee shall be comprised of five members appointed by the president, with the president-elect serving as chair.

The Student Committee shall address issues that affect student recruitment and retention.

The Staff Committee shall address issues that affect staff recruitment, retention, and advancement.

The Faculty Affairs Committee shall address issues that impact faculty recruitment, retention, and advancement.

The Public Relations Committee shall oversee and develop strategies, public education materials, increase awareness and oversee media outreach initiatives.

The Program Committee shall develop programs that provide opportunities to inform and stimulate participation of members and create interest in the association. The vice-president shall serve as the committee chair.

The Membership Committee shall review policies, procedures, and strategies for enhancing the membership of the association.
